I never knew that you could make several line experiments with yarn. I would never have known how to do this without Mrs. Shedd! I like this idea because it is line and art together to make great, fun math!
Once upon a time, there was a woodpecker. Then a pigeon came.
The woodpecker said, “Get off my property, or I will peck you!”
The pigeon said, “Then I will not help you.”
Then a bluejay cried, “A hunter! A hunter! Fly away!”
The hunter shot a few birds. The woodpecker got away.
The pigeon talked to the birds to fight the hunter. They were ready to fight the hunter! They charged at the hunter. Then they pecked him. They pecked him so much that he ran away forever.
The pigeon and the other birds said, “Yay! Yay! Yay!”
The woodpecker came back and said, “Good job!”
Then they finally became friends.

Black is sweet plum,
The clap, clap of a clam.
Black is permanent marker smell
And the crunchy ashes.
