Giant squid can grow up to 43 feet long for males and 33 feet long for females. They are not found in groups as hunters do not see them with others. It eats its prey by using two tentacles to grab and pull the prey into its mouth. In its mouth is a radula with thousands of sharp teeth that shred the food. Squid live only about 18 months to maybe a year. Squid can have different body patterns. Squid eat tuna and other big fish. Squid can travel in thousands. When squid mate with a female, the male turns bright red. That means no other mate can take the female. Giant squid have 24,000 teeth on tentacles. Squid getting together is called the big bang.
